Doctors Should not Treat Family Members

Imagine you are a highly skilled surgeon that has never once failed a surgery. Later your best friend got in a car accident and needs surgery now. You want to do surgery on your best friend or will will you let the other surgeon commence. This is a problem is what Dr. Sanders had and later his grandson died in the operation room.

But if it was complicated and life at risk then the related should not treat them.

People Think that there should be a law that doctors should not treat their family or unless it is not a life threatening danger then it should be fine. Though if they need surgery now and no one is ready then the surgeon may perform. Then another thing is emotion in this. If your fiance need surgery and you were totally over her then you would want to perform surgery but you may think it’s easy to choose to let other doctors choose but when emotion covers your head then you can make wrong decisions.
