Blind triathlete forced to wear glasses

Blind Triathlete forced to wear dark glasses

In this story, I am going to tell you how a triathlete is forced to wear dark glasses even though he is 80% blind. The blind triathlete can only see 20% so that is only up close. It can be dangerous to make a triathlete who is 80% blind wear dark glasses. So I went and asked a few people what they thought about the subject that I am doing. The first person that I asked was Zach Sly. Zach said “That they should have the choice to wear dark glasses or clear glasses.” Zach thought  that they should change the rules for all of the people that are legally blind. The next person that I interviewed was Mason Delorenzo. Mason also said that “The people should have a choice of what they want to wear and that it can be dangerous for all the people that are legally blind really badly.” Think of it if you were 80% blind, would you want to wear dark glasses, clear glasses, or no glasses at all? When you run in a triathlon and you are 80% blind, it can be dangerous to not only yourself but people and things around you. One of the triathlon competitors said that when he had to wear the dark glasses that it was so scary that it brought tears to his eyes. So not only is it dangerous for you and the people around you but the triathletes are saying that it is scary when you are partially blind or fully blind and you have to wear dark glasses to make it even harder to see. One of the triathletes named Aaron Scheidies is suing three triathlon groups for making it required to make all the partially and fully blind athletes to wear dark glasses. The three groups responded back and said that they make them wear dark glasses to level the playing field. One question that I have is that even when they are either partially or fully blind do they need to wear dark glasses to even the playing field, even though they are blind? Here is a question for the people that are reading this article, if you were partially blind and they made it harder to see for you by making you put on dark glasses what would you do?

  1. Jared, I can tell you're really trying here to personalize the subject but you lack connections between the main topic of your article : Aaron Scheides.
