This
argument started when John Canzano who is a oregonlive.com blogger, asked Paul
Allen who is the owner of the Blazers if he was in or out. John Canzano
basically asked Paul Allen if he even cared about the team and if he wanted to
sell them. Allen responded harshly. He called John Canzano an octopus that
knows nothing about the Blazers.
Blazers.com's
twitter page then tweeted the incident so their 75,000 fans can see. Many fans
commented on this incident such as "fight fight!", "angry
billionaire" and "Paul Allen has no sense of humor. The picture of
the octopuses that Paul Allen described as " the four ways to read a John
Canzano article"are very dumb looking which is an indication that he is
calling John Canzano dumb.
Paul Allen also put
quotes underneath the four pictures of the octopuses that said "Stage 1,
uh oh another John Canzano column."
Stage 1 of Paul Allen explaining what reading a John Canzano article is like. |
"Stage 2, wow, even more
bombastic and grandiose as usual."
Stage 2 of Paul Allen explaining how reading a John Canzano article is like. |
"Stage 3, he's frolicking again
with unnamed sources and their murky agendas."
Stage 3 of Paul Allen explaining how it is like to explain a John Canzano article. |
"Stage 4, movin' on…
(Does his editor even bother to read these?).
Stage 4 of Paul Allen explaining how reading a John Canzano article is like. |
John Canzano
responded with quotes such as "I could own the Blazers better then Paul
Allen can" and "Who the heck insults someone with pictures of four
octopuses."When asked about the incident, Blazers guard Wesley Matthews
said "I know this is all nonsense and not serious at all." That
shows that Paul Allen and John Canzano are not fond of each other and they got
into a big online disagreement.

Jonah, this is an interesting article but it lacks context. I don't understand what the "in or not" comment Canzano meant. You did a great job demonizing Canzano. You're on the right path, keep up the good work.
